Library Services
Library Periods
Classes from VI- XII are having a library period once in a week. Students use their library period for reading books, periodicals and for other library activities. Students from class VI-IX have a library note book for writing book reviews.
Book circulation -Circulation of books is done everyday during the library period. Each student will get 2 books at time for a period of one week.They can also renew the books for one more week. Reference books and back volumes of periodicals are issued for overnight reading. Issue/Return of books are also done during the free periods.For teachers the text books are issued for the whole academic year. Other than the textbooks all the staff members are issued 5 book for a period of one month
Library Automation
The library is automated with e-granthalaya software. All the books and periodicals are accessioned in this software.
Notice Boards
A Library Notice Board is maintained in front of the Library. Information regarding the library statistics, library rules, new arrivals ,student book review, and other information regarding the library are displayed.
New Arrivals The new arrivals list is displayed in the Library notice board. The new books are also displayed inside the library.
Current content of journals
A list of Current content of journals which may be relevant to the users are displayed for their attention in the library.
Book Reviews
Selected book reviews by the students and book reviews published on the newspapers are displayed in the notice board and are also presented in the morning assembly. This will make other readers to know about the new books published.
Career Guidance
A Career Guidance corner and a Career Guidance notice board is maintained for alerts on higher education and career guidance. Information brochures of various academic institutions, advertisements etc are displayed in the career guidance notice board.
Library Activity
During library period students are given reading cards, reference books like encyclopedia,dictionary facts on file,etc for reading and reference.Students are also asked to write down the important points in their library note book.The library also conducts Quiz on current awareness & GK, story telling,news paper reading etc for the students during their library periods to encourage their reading habit.
Book Exhibition and Book fairs
Book Exhibitions are conducted with cooperation of National Book Trust New Delhi and others local publishers in twice a year and Exhibition conducted in Library on the occasion of important Days.
Class Library
The Class libraries are functioning from I to V. The primary class teachers are issued with the class library books which are issued to students during their class library period. The students can read the books and return it back to the teachers.
